JHW Plan Review Services LLC can provide any level of review needed for jurisdictions, designers, and owners, from the design stage of a project to submitted permit sets. Our detailed reviews are available for most building disciplines and for most codes currently enforced around the nation. See below for details regarding specific discipline reviews.
BUILDING and RESIDENTIAL CODES
We perform building reviews for projects under any edition of the International Building Code (IBC) or a state building code which is based upon the IBC.
All facets of the code are reviewed, except that only a "cursory" review of structural loading is provided (i.e., not reviewed for structural 'design'). Other systems, such as fire sprinklers and fire alarm systems, are specifically designed post-permit, thus not included in the building review; we do not offer those specific reviews.

ACCESSIBILITY STANDARDS
We perform accessibility reviews for projects under any edition of the International Building Code (IBC) (Chapters 10 and 11) or a state building code which is based upon the IBC and any edition of the ICC A117.1 Accessibility Standard.

Non-ICC accessibility codes, such as the Texas Accessibility Standards (TAS), typically require specific certification from the state, thus are not within our review scope.
MECHANICAL and FUEL GAS CODES
We perform mechanical reviews for projects under any edition of the International Mechanical Code (IMC) or a state building code which is based upon the IMC. We also can perform reviews for the Uniform Mechanical Code (UMC).

We perform fuel gas reviews for projects under any edition of the International Fuel Gas Code (IFGC) or a state building code which is based upon the IFGC.

PLUMBING CODES
We perform plumbing reviews for projects under any edition of the International Plumbing Code (IPC) or a state building code which is based upon the IPC. We also can perfrom reviews for the Uniform Plumbing Code (UPC).
ELECTRICAL CODES
We perform electrical reviews for projects under any edition of the National Electrical Code (NEC).
ENERGY CODES
We perform energy reviews for projects under any edition of the International Energy Conservation Code (IECC) or any edition of ASHRAE 90.1.
